Santa is coming to town before we know it. If i’m being honest, its really never to late to start thinking about holiday leads. I started reaching out to some of my past clients in MAY, and while that might seem excessive, I have a handful of people I get their dates locked in early so when the booking start I’m not scrambling to get a hold of them.
As we approach the fall months, this is a great time to as well! Here are my top 3 tips for booking holiday events.
If you are a seasoned boother, your past holiday clients are probably planning to book you again. Why not take the first step and get this off their plate for them.
If you are newer to the industry and only have a few past clients, still ask. Odds are your wedding couples work for a company hosting a holiday party, or know someone who does. It is so much easier to sell to someone who has already invested in you before.
This is one of my favorite tips from Jessie over at MISGIF/ Misgiftastic: Create themed packages: Winter Wonderland, Santa, whatever it might be. Have the backdrop, template, and prop packages already curated for them for an easy win!
I’m a mom of 2, my holiday season looks a lot different now than it did pre kids – I really prioritize blocking off dates that I will not work so I can create some holiday magic with my family.
The holiday season get BUSY, and there can be events everyday. Know that a “yes” somewhere, means a no somewhere else. Maybe its turning down the event asking for a discount, so you can say yes to a last minute full price lead. Maybe its limiting customizations (like template revisions), or custom props that take rush order.
I know photobooth owners who take the whole holiday season off, and I know companies that make 75% of their in come over holidays. Find the balance and do what feels best for you!
I hope you all have an INCREDIBLE holiday season, and don’t forget to check out our holiday booth stock collections in the membership!
